Motu Patlu: King of Kings is a 2016 Indian 3Dcomputer-animatedadventurecomedy film directed by Suhas Kadav and produced by Ketan Mehta.[3] The film was inspired by the popular TV series Motu Patlu, which itself adapted from the characters published by Lotpot magazine. It is the first feature-length film based on the characters. The film was released on 14 October 2016 and become a successful venture at the box office.

Plot[edit]
Motu and Patlu help Guddu, a circus lion, return to the jungle, which an evil poacher, Narsimha, dominates. The duo teams up with the animals to combat him and restore peace.

Motu Patlu Cartoon
Motu patlu cartoon is an animated series produced by Cosmos. The series is basically of Indian origin. The series is aired on different cartoon channels. The series started in 2012. The series revolves around two primary characters, Motu and Patlu. They are both friends who live in Furfuri Nagar city. The show is very popular in India and Pakistan. The cartoon is based on a Hindi comic magazine, Lotpot. The magazine was first published in 1969. The magazine was published in Hindi and English. The circulation of both of its versions was around 0.2 Million. In the magazine Motu and Patlu were two brothers. They were both dumb. Rest of the supporting characters include Ghasita Ram, Dr. Jhatka, Anguthanand and Chela Ram.

Theme of the Cartoon
Two friends Motu and Patlu live in Furfuri Nagar. They have a gift of landing themselves in trouble. Then they act hilariously to get out of it. Motu loves Samosas. Motu usually steals samosas from Chaiwala. His samosas are the best in the city. Motu is problem creator and Patlu is problem solver. Patlu is always working to solve the problems created by Motu. Dr. Jhatka, Ghasitaram and Chinga help them when they are in trouble. Motu sometimes try weird inventions of Dr. Jhatka. Samosas increases Motu’s strength just like Popeye when he eats spinach.
The criminal John the Don adds color to the cartoon. He has two assistants, number 1 and number 2. They are both stupid. John wants to be a super villain but his plans are always foiled by Motu and Patlu.

Motu
As the name suggests, Motu is fat. He is one of the main character of Motu Patlu Cartoon. He likes samosas which gives him strength. His acts often get him in trouble. He always looks for shortcuts to earn money. And off course he never misses samosas even if it gets him in trouble. He often talks proudly about things he hasn’t done. Despite his foolishness, he is a nice fellow. He wears a red shirt with black waist coat and yellow pyjamas. He fears mice. His father was kidnapped by aliens. He was searching for others forms of life in the universe.
Patlu
Patlu is a skinny man. He is Motu’s best friend. He is also smarter than Motu. As a friend of Motu, he often finds himself in trouble. He often educates Motu to live a normal life. But Motu’s friendship always lands him in trouble. He reads newspapers. His grandfather was great at boxing. His grandfather also had a recipe for acquiring great strength. He wears yellow shirt with orange trousers. He also wears glasses.
Dr. Jhatka
Dr. Jhatka is a queer scientist. He is from Punjab. His inventions though successful are not helpful for people. Dr. Jhatka is bald. He wears green shirt with violet tie and blue pant. His father is a millionaire who searches his grandson in the city. He is deceived by “John the Don”. He believes John is his grandson.
Ghasitaram
Ghasitaram has a vast but useless experience. He is from Bengal. His “experiences” are often a source of trouble for Motu and Patlu. He wears a blue shirt with brown waist coat and a purple dhoti.
Chaiwala
Chaiwala is Motu’s neighbor. He makes Chai (tea) and samosas. Motu likes his samosas and always try to steal them. After eating his samosas Motu gets strength and can defeat anyone. He sometimes offers Motu free samosas when he rescues him (chaiwala) in difficult situtaitons. He wars a white banyan and a purple dhoti.
Sabziwali
She sells vegetables. Motu owes her money and creates troubles for her. She has extreme temper. She is often dressed in Green saree and black blouse.
Chingam
Chingam is a cop. Criminals can’t run from him, that’s what he thinks. But he mostly catches criminals with the help of the duo (Motu and Patlu). He has a bike. Sometimes drives a jeep as well. Hera and Pheri are his assistants. They are constables.

John
John The Don is the main villain of the cartoon. John wants to become super villain. But he always fails in becoming one and end up in prison. Motu and Patlu are mostly behind his failures. So he is afraid of them instead of Chingam. He dresses in blue shirt and blue pant. He is fat and short and gets mocked for that. He is a poet.
Number 1
He is an assistant of John. He likes John’s poetry. He makes great plans to pin down Motu and Patlu. But John doesn’t like his plans and instead torture him. He has respect for John. He wears a stripped shirt and blue pants.
Number 2
He is another supporter of John. But he doesn’t talk much. He has a larger nose with a band aid on it. He wears a cyan shirt with orange pants.
Boxer
He is a neighbor of Motu. He wears a tank top and red pants. He is a violent man and a teacher. He wants to help but his anger problem gets him in trouble. He ends up beating his neighbors instead of helping them. He own a lavish car.
Bubblegum
He is the police commissioner of the city. He is also the father of Chingam.
