Dhoom 2 (transl. Blast 2) is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra at an estimated budget of ₹350 million under the Yash Raj Films banner. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu in the lead roles. Dhoom 2 was shot primarily in India, Durban and Rio de. Feb 02, 2007 Dhoom 2 is definitely the reason to buy the set though (and it's nice to know what happened in Dhoom 1 first- though not essential). It is an action movie of the Mission Impossible type. Great action and stunts, not really that much violence.

This is the age of sequels and while Hollywood has exhausted the formula, Bollywood is just cosying up to it. It’s no surprise then, that after hearing of continuations of Dabangg and Don, Dhoom 4 too is whizzing into the picture. And we hear that Shah Rukh Khan has been confirmed for the role.
After Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3, it had to be either SRK or Salman to maintain the star power of the series and since Salman is already doing another action franchise — Race 3, SRK turned out to be the perfect choice. We already know that SRK plays grey characters exceptionally well and we have Baazigar, Darr, Don and Raees to vouch for it. Says a source, “Adi (Aditya Chopra) wants to take Dhoom 4 to the next level and he’s asked Maneesh Sharma to write the film. He’s currently scripting it. For those in the know, Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor (director of Dhoom 3) is now busy with Thugs of Hindostan. So the film will change hands again. Maneesh will probably direct it as well.”
Interestingly, back in November 2014 when Shah Rukh was asked if he’s interested in playing a baddie in Dhoom 4 he had said, “I am doing a film with Yash Raj and that’s Fan. If I get an opportunity, I would love to do it. I find it very cool. But Aditya (Chopra) has never asked me for Dhoom.”

Shah Rukh Khan has been taking up quite bizarre and unconventional characters (for him) in films like Fan and Raees and even his rom com, Jab Harry Met Sejal did not strike gold at the box office. One can only hope and wonder whether Dhoom 4 will help him race back to the top.
